Dr. Elena Filatova's journey in optometry began with her degree in medicine from Vladivostok State Medical University in Vladivostok, Russia. She furthered her education by earning a Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2011.

Following her graduation, Dr. Filatova accumulated a decade of experience in New Mexico and Arizona, working primarily in ophthalmology settings. Her focus has been on primary eye care and the treatment and management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and both viral and bacterial eye infections in patients of all ages.
Dr. Filatova is adept in pre- and postoperative care for cataract and laser procedures and is skilled in the evaluation and co-management of refractive surgery patients, including LASIK and ICL. She has a particular interest in fitting contact lenses and enjoys working with children.
